Negotiations

Today Madeline and I were having a difference of opinion on something.  I said, "Honey, please stop arguing with me, and just do what I asked."

And Madeline very sweetly responded,  "Mom, I'm not arguing with you.  I'm reasoning with you."

Serves you right for having an intelligent daughter. If you wouldn't let her read and fill her mind with crazy ideas, she might be more agreeable - or at least not have the vocabulary to argue with you:) The boys just stick their tongues out at me.
